Q: I am not a writer but have an interest in writing, will this be enough to become a member of SWW?
A: Yes it is.
Q: Can I join the Society even if I live outside New South Wales?
A: We suggest that you try your own State first. There is a Society of Women Writers in each state.
Q: I live in the country. Do you hold workshops in the regions?
A: Not at this time.
Q: Is Sydney your only venue for monthly meetings?
A: Yes.
Q: Do you assist or give advice regarding book contracts?
A: We would advise you to contact the Australian Society of Authors (ASA). There is a direct link to ASA in the left side panel.
Q: Do you assist authors with promoting their books?
A: Yes, if they are members.
Q: Do you help authors launch their new releases?
A: We only help by advertising it in our newsletter, email news and bulletins to members. The authors must be members or invited guest speakers.
Q: Do I have to be a member to attend your monthly meetings?
A: We would encourage visitors to become a member after three meetings.
Q: Do I have to be a member to post articles on your website and newsletter?
A: Yes. Go to Membership page to print an application form if you wish to join us.
Q: How do I get a copy of the newsletter?
A: Become a member.
Q: Do I have to be a writer to be at your luncheon meeting?
A: No. Readers and fans of the guest speaker are also welcome.
